Start Your Teaching Career with Confidence!

At Horizon Teachers, we have been building strong relationships with Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools, Teachers and Support Staff across London and the South East since 2008.

We pride ourselves on the fact that many of our recruitment consultants are former teachers with extensive background experience in Primary, Secondary and SEN education.

We can therefore offer you expert advice on teaching in the U.K. to help you start your teaching career with confidence and the means to succeed.

Read on below to find out how we can support you in…

  1. Getting settled

Moving to a new country that has a completely different culture to your own can sometimes feel scary and overwhelming. But at Horizon Teachers, we are here to smooth the process.

Once you register us, you will be assigned a main point of contact with one of our dedicated consultants who will be in contact with you before your arrival and during your stay.

We can also assist you in finding the right accommodation, setting up a U.K. bank account and even reimburse your first 2 weeks of rent once you have worked just 20 days.

Our goal is to make sure you have everything you need to start your paid teaching work as quickly and effectively as possible.

  1. Discovering your ideal role

When it comes to finding you a job, we aim to find exactly what you are looking for every time: whether it is local work to reduce travel times, or the ideal long-term assignment.

We offer great rates of pay for short-term, long-term, daily supply and permanent Teaching and Support Staff roles.

Many of our Support Staff roles such as Teaching Assistant, Nursery Nurse and General support are available for those who don’t have a specific qualification but have experience working with children.

  1. Accessing free training

We are committed to supporting you throughout your career in education, which is why we hold regular training workshops at our London office, completely free of charge.

These are delivered by education professionals and are designed to equip you with useful strategies and insights to take to the classroom. These workshops include: ‘Introduction to Safeguarding’, ‘Transitioning from Mainstream to SEN’, ‘Approaches to working with Autism’ and ‘Promoting Positive Behaviour’.

What do teachers say about us?

“I worked as a teaching assistant through Horizon Teachers. They were incredibly professional and friendly from day one, taking the time to get to know my aspirations and finding me a job very quickly. During my time as a TA, they were always very supportive – my contact would regularly be in touch to check how things were going. I am very pleased with my time with them and have no hesitation in recommending them.”

– Kalil, Graduate Teaching Assistant

“I would like to thank you and the Horizon Teachers team for the great opportunity that you’ve offered me to have been working in London for the last 6 months. I really enjoyed working with your agency. You have been the best agency I’ve worked with in terms of the quality of schools, assignments and your approachable communication and professional relationship with me. You will definitely be the first agency to recommend to any colleagues who would like to work in London in the next school year.”

– Simona, Primary School Teacher
